The first version of the SP fixture was the SP Elbow, which with its extended handle stemmed from the need for a hygienic and durable armature for use in hospitals and other institutions. Like the SP fitting, the SP Elbow was designed by engineer and Gentofte County Hospital machinist Otto Sparre-Petersen, who was tired of maintaining the old fixture and therefore developed a new and durable top piece that could withstand heavy loads. Based on classic craft traditions, SP Albue is today a classic that continues to be used in public institutions as well as in private interiors. 

We recommend that the fitter installs a dirt filter at the water inlet when the fitting is installed.
